Revoked travel agency licenses: Call for claims for Aurora Tours, Ladventures, The Known Nords and Unforgettable Iceland
The Icelandic Tourist Board has revoked the license of the four following travel agencies: Aurora Tours ehf. no. 2013-020 , Ladventures ehf. no. 2024-030, The Known Nords no. 2024-020 and Unforgettable Iceland ehf. no 2024-016
As their license no longer meets license requirements, membership of the Travel Insurance Fund is cancelled at the same time. The companies are neither authorized to put together, offer or sell package tours or day trips nor to facilitate the sale of linked travel arrangements for commercial purposes. The Icelandic Tourist Board has requested operations to be terminated, and that the websites are closed immediately.
Travellers who have purchased a package tour or linked travel arrangement from the companies can submit claims towards the Travel Insurance Fund for a refund if they have not received reimbursement from the travel agencies. The deadline for submitting claims is July 26th, 2025. Claims must be submitted before the deadline, claims received after that time will not be accepted.

Claims must be accompanied by sufficient documentation to prove the claim, an itinerary and receipts for payment or bank transfer.
