Database of Tourism Service Providers
The Icelandic Tourist Board maintains the most comprehensive database available containing information on Icelandic tourism service providers and services for travelers. It collaborates with Visit Iceland and regional destination management organizations on the registration and maintenance of information.
The database currently contains information on nearly four thousand tourism service providers, in both English and Icelandic.
The database includes, among other things, detailed information on:
- Accommodation, such as hotels, guesthouses, farm stays, hostels, summer houses, mountain huts, and campsites
- Activities and organized tours of all kinds
- Transportation, such as coaches, boats, flights, car rentals, public buses, and taxis
- Museums, cultural centers, and exhibitions
- Golf courses, fishing, swimming pools, bicycle rentals, and horse rentals
- Information centers, travel agencies, foreign embassies, and consuls

Information from the database is published, among other places:

- On all regional marketing organization websites across the country
