New Map Improves Tourist Safety

Safetravel.is, the official source for safe travel in Iceland, has introduced a new map of travel conditions which combines what used to be three maps in one, mbl.is reports. Minister of Tourism Þórdís Kolbrún R. Gylfadóttir formally launched the map yesterday.

This is one of the monthly publications of the Icelandic Tourism Board (ITB), a short compilation of the most recent statistics about tourism and tourists gathered by ITB as well as data from Statistics Iceland. 18.4% decrease in October

Departures of foreign passengers from Iceland via Keflavik airport were about 163 thousand in October, according to figures from the Icelandic Tourist Board, or about 36 thousand less than in October 2018. The decrease between years is 18.4%.
