The hike begins north of Húsavík, where you can park your car. From the summit of Húsavíkurfjall, you will enjoy breathtaking views over the town, the bay, and the Kinnarfjöll mountains beyond the bay. On a clear day, you can also see the islands of Flatey and Lundey. The area offers a variety of hiking trails suitable for all levels, making it also easy to start your adventure from the town center. For example, you can begin at the local camping site or any of the marked trails nearby.
