Cycling in Mosfellsbær Bicycle trail

This cycling route begins at the Varmá sports area in Mosfellsbær and offers a scenic journey through the town. From the starting point, you cycle toward Álafosskvos, a hub of art and culture in Mosfellsbær and a very popular stop. From there, the route continues toward Reykjalundur, following Reykjalundarvegur before turning onto Reykjavegur. This section is sheltered and surrounded by lush nature. Next, you turn onto Skarhólabraut and follow it to Vesturlandsvegur. Along this stretch, there is a hill that will get your heart pumping a bit faster. At Vesturlandsvegur, you pass through an underpass to cross the road. From there, you cycle through the Hlíðahverfi neighborhood, past Lágafellslaug swimming pool, and continue toward the golf course. The ride continues alongside the golf course, then follows the path along Leiruvogur, where scenic views and diverse birdlife greet travelers. Finally, the cycling path leads back to the starting point at the Varmá sports area.
