The journey starts at Elliðaárstöð, biking up Rafstöðvarvegur and continuing through the underpass at Höfðabakki. Beyond Höfðabakki, the route follows the path on the north side of the Elliðaár rivers. Upon reaching Fylkir's training grounds, turn right and continue up Víðidalur. The route then loops back along the path on the south side of the Elliðaár rivers, following it all the way back to Elliðaárstöð.
